Regime change in Iran now in Bush's sights - [Sunday Herald]: 'Regime change in Iran now in Bushs sights

Before the 9/11 attack 10 of the hijackers passed through Iran on their way from Afghanistan to Saudi Arabia. Is this a reason to escalate the conflict with Iran? Shoud American young people die in a war over this?
Before you call for war consider this. The same men allowed to travel in Iran were also allowed by The US Department of State and US Imagration to travel into the US. Bush has not called for a regeime change in Foggy Bottom. Bush has not launched military attacks on US Imagration. The same small group of traitors who led us into war in Iraq now want to go to war in Iran. We have lost over 1000 dead in the war in Iraq only to find out there was no legitimate reason for the war. As a father and a Christian my prayer is that God guides our leaders to act justly. That they do now spend our sons and daughters cheaply in foreign adventures. That they act in a way that shows that we are 'One Nation Under GOD'. JBOC

PRESIDENT George Bush has promised that if re-elected in November he will make regime change in Iran his new target.
Bush named Iran as part of the Axis of Evil along with North Korea and Iraq almost three years ago. A US government official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said that military action would not be overt in changing Iran, but rather that the US would work to stir revolts in the country and hope to topple the current conservative religious leadership."

Majlis Speaker Gholam-Ali Haddad Adel Saturday termed the Palestinian problem as a "strategic issue for Iran," stressing the 7th Majlis would do its utmost to support the "brave but oppressed Palestinians."

In a meeting with Palestinian Ambassador to Tehran Salah Zawawi, Haddad Adel said Iran regards the Palestinian issue as the symbol of struggles of the Islamic world against the West's atrocities, IRNA reported.

He added the ruling of the International Court of Justice in The Hague on the need of bringing down the illegal wall being built in the Palestinian territory was a big victory for the Islamic world and the Palestinians.

"The US and the Zionist regime`s refusal to accept the (ICJ) ruling indicates their lack of commitment to international regulations and their dual standards regarding international issues," he said."

KHARTOUM (IRNA) -- Iran's Minister of Foreign Affairs Kamal Kharrazi said here on Friday, 'Main objective of the U.S. Greater Middle East Initiative is stabilizing Israel's status in the region and providing for the expansion of the Zionists' hegemony.' Kharrazi who is in Sudan added, 'The foreign powers are meanwhile after exertion of military and political pressure over the regional countries to secure greater interests for themselves.' The Iranian foreign minister made the comments in a meeting with his Sudanese counterpart Mustafa Uthman Ismail, adding, 'The real intentions of those who talk about the Greater Middle East Initiative, reforms, and democracy are highly suspicious.' Referring to the prevailing conditions in Iraq and occupied Palestine, he said, 'The presence of outsiders in Iraq is aimed at securing their hegemony over the region and its vital energy resources, and the Israelis, too, are taking full advantage of the U.S. broader presence in the region.' The Iranian foreign minister added, 'The ultimate goal of Washington in Palestine, too, is paving the path for Israel's full hegemony, not only over the Palestinians, but throughout the Islamic world.'"
