Pak, Iran want non-permanent UNSC expansion

Pak, Iran want non-permanent UNSC expansion: "Pak, Iran want non-permanent UNSC expansion:

[World News]: Islamabad, Dec 29 : Pakistan Foreign Minister Khurshid Kasuri has said that Islamabad is in favour of adding non-permanent members to the United Nations Security Council (UNSC).

Kasuri conveyed this view during his meeting with his Iranian counterpart Kamal Kharrazi.

He said that Pakistan favoured the creation of eight non- permanent UNSC seats, each of which could be renewed every four years.

Pakistan's stance assumes significance as India has been trying for a permanent UNSC seat with veto power along with Brazil, Japan and Germany.

Pakistan has, however, stated that it is opposed to India's bid in this regard.(ANI)"
