LONDON, Dec 27 (IranMania) - The Kuwaiti parliament decided to invite Iranian Parliament Speaker Gholam Ali Haddad Adel to pay an official visit to the Persian Gulf emirate.

According to a parliamentary rapporteur, the decision was made at a top session of the Kuwaiti legislative body Sunday, headed by Parliament Speaker Jasim Mohammad al-Kharafi. Kuwaiti officials have shown keen interest in recent months to the expansion of bilateral ties with Iran, IRNA reported.

The two Muslim countries are fresh from Iranian Commerce Minister Mohammad Shariatmadari`s visit to Kuwait last month to attend their first joint economic and trade commission session. That visit was followed by Deputy Parliamentary Speaker Mohammad Hassan Aboutorabi`s trip to the emirate, where he met several Kuwaiti officials, including al-Kharafi.

Earlier this month, Kuwaiti Deputy Industry Minister Youssef Sahab al-Bahar visited Iran to sign an MoU, removing obstacles on the way of their commercial and trade ties."
