LONDON, Nov 4 (IranMania) – If the Iranian Parliament’s Development Commission agrees to the export of Iran’s surplus water to Kuwait, 300 mln square meters of waters will be transferred to Kuwait from Iran per year, Iran’s Abrar Eqtesadi reported.

“The Development Commission has held many sessions to discuss the issue, yet the final decision has been postponed to the next session.” the commission’s Rapporteur, Vali Azarvash said.

“The export of Iran’s surplus water to Kuwait is quite lucrative and the revenues can be spent on the completion of the half-completed projects in Iran’s southern province of Khuzestan.” Azarvash added.

According to the Iranian Ministry of Energy currently Iran has 50 bln square meters of surplus water."
