NEW DELHI, July 13 (Xinhuanet) -- US Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage arrived here Tuesday on a two day-visit during which he will call on Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and hold discussions with other Indian leaders.
This is the first visit by a senior member of President George W. Bush's administration after the new government took over in New Delhi following the general elections, the Indo-Asian News Service (IANS) reported.
Armitage will also call on External Affairs Minister K. Natwar Singh, besides the prime minister, and hold talks with National Security Adviser J.N. Dixit and Foreign Secretary Shashank."
