TEHRAN (CIHAN) - Eight Kurdish rebels were killed in a clash between the Iranian security forces and Iranian Kurdish separatists. Some rebels were wounded while 2 Iranian soldiers were killed in same gunbattle.
The separatists Iranian Kurdish groups based on the mountainous Northern Iraq region have recently infiltrated into Iran to collect money from the villagers in border to overcome their economic difficulties and to carry out guerilla war against the Iranian soldiers.
Iranian security forces engaged in gunfire with the Kurdish separatists and killed 8 of them while 2 Iranian soldiers lost their lives in the same fire exchange in Cermi region of the province of Urumiye which is situated in cross points of the Turkey, Iran and Iraq borders.
Iranian sources said that the operation in region were underway. "
