Iran - Russia - Azerbaijan Rail Link to be built

Description of Selected News: "Railway officials from Russia, Azerbaijan and Iran said Thursday they had agreed to set up an international consortium to build a railway linking their three countries.
The railway line will link Qazvin, located some 100 kilometers (60 miles) northwest of the Iranian capital Tehran, with the Azerbaijani city of Astara, which lies on the Caspian Sea along the border with Iran.
Azerbaijan, a former Soviet republic, has ample rail connections with Russia."
